is the singing symbol.
The prayers marked with the singing symbol in the Prayers Sung list
have mp3 files attached to them that allow you to listen to them.
You can listen to the whole prayer or a specific line depending on which attachment you click on.
Listening to the Prayer
- You can listen to the prayer by opening (double click with left mouse button or right click and select open file) the attachment symbol (paperclip or tag).
- When opened, an mp3 player application
such as the Windows Media Player, or the Apple Quicktime Player will open.
- Since the mp3 player opens on top of the browser window, it helps to make resize it so that you can see the mp3 player and the browser with the Hebrew.
It may also help to reposition both windows. See below for a recommendation for Windows Media Player.

It also has Skin mode which is smaller than full mode.

Even though some options refer to movies, they apply to audio files as well.
Using the Edit Menu / Preferences / Player Preferences / General tab...
- Uncheck the Movies / Open movies in new players option
or you will get a new player each time you open an audio file.
- Check the Movies / Automatically play movies when opened option
or you will need to click play each time you open an audio file.
- Check the Sound / Play sound when application is in background option
or the player will stop playing if you click on the prayer.
Adobe Acrobat recommendation:
- Start Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC
- Select the Edit menu / Preferences / Category: Page Display.
- Look down to Rendering / Smooth Text.
- Set the option for "Smooth Text" to "For Monitor" or "For Laptop/LCD Screens" depending on the type of screen you are using on your PC.
The "None" option will result in poorer quality Hebrew letters. It can affect both the use of Acrobat on your PC and with your web browser.
- Click OK, and Exit Acrobat
Printing Individual prayers can be done with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
This procedure works well for the individual prayers that are sung.
You can also print one prayer from one page of one of the prayer booklets.
To do this, adjust the edges of the browser window so that only the desired prayer shows in the window and
after step one below, in the Print Range section, select Current View.
- Selecting the print function with File / Print or the print icon on the toolbar.
- Look for the section called Page Scaling
- Select Fit to Printable Area.
- Review the Preview area to make sure it is what you want.
- If it is okay, continue with the OK button.
The Prayer Booklets can also be printed with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Use the procedure above for printing individual prayers, except change step three to:
- Select Booklet Printing (for Page Scaling), and
- Choose Booklet Subset based on whether your printer can print double sided prints,
or only one side at a time.
